Our Team
Tara Peña
Tara Peña (tara.pena@stanford.edu) is an incoming Assistant Professor in the Materials Science & Engineering Department at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Before UCLA, Tara obtained her M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Rochester. After, she was a postdoctoral researcher in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University working with Professor Eric Pop. She has been awarded the NSF graduate research and MPS-Ascend postdoctoral fellowships throughout her career. She will officially start UCLA on November 1st, 2026.
